The Idaho Billfold (Plain)
People have the wrong idea about Idaho. They think it's all vast fields of potatoes. While that's partly true, there is so much more to it than that. Farms, yes, but also vast forests, and deserts, and high plains, and deep canyons. And mountains. Lots and lots of mountains. It's so mountainous, in fact, that there are no highways running through the center of the state. There's simply nowhere to put one. They say Lewis and Clark sat down and cried when they saw all those mountains. Later, Chief Joseph and the Nez Perce led the U.S. Cavalry on a wild goose chase through those same mountains. It took tough people to settle Idaho. Loggers, farmers, miners. Tough people live there still. They need tough gear to survive there.
